1 pkg. Oreo cookies
1 stick butter, melted
1 container cool whip or whipped cream
1 quart vanilla ice cream (softened)
Peanuts (optional)
Chocolate syrup
Crumble cookies (place in a Ziploc bag and hit with a rolling pin or meat tenderizer). Remove about 1 ½ C from the bag. Pour remaining crumbled cookies into a mixing bowl. Melt butter and mix with the cookies in the bowl. Pour into a 9x13 pan for crust. Spread softened ice cream on top of cookie crust. Sprinkle with peanuts (optional) and add a layer of whipped cream. Sprinkle remaining cookies on top. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Freeze until firm.
